BYB Community
BYB recognises that dance means something different to everyone. Whether it is an opportunity to be social & meet people, gain fitness outside of a gym, boost confidence, improve communication & connection; our community is a fun & encouraging space to learn & try Dancesport.
We VALUE community, loyalty, member wellbeing & respect. For this reason, we have built our studio based on a member structure which sees consistent participation from our students rather than generalised casual attendance. This allows us know to our members & be aware of who is in the studio so that everyone can feel safe while remaining familiar with their surroundings. Unlike other Ballroom Dance studios that allow a constant flow of casual (& unknown) attendees, we feel this is the best step forward to keeping our studio environment safe, in particular our younger generations. For this reason, our social events are for BYB members only & we do not teach students who learn from other Ballroom Dancing Studios.
We also do not allow photography or filming unless a teacher has given permission - this includes choreography & individuals.
Be YOU Ballroom was established with the desire to see Dancesport return to the NSW South Coast & ignite a fresh passion for Ballroom Dancing in future generations.

Dancing is our passion & our life... National Australian & double New Zealand Champions, Australian finalists, NSW & East Coast National, Outside Change & VIC State Champions & full time dancers. We absolutely love what we do!
Having danced since we were very young, we have both completed medal examinations & competed at all levels. A true love story, we met as dance partners & were recently married while sharing our passion for Ballroom Dancing.
We began Be YOU Ballroom from one trial class mid 2022 & now have a wonderful community of dancers of all ages & levels. Recently we established our very own studio space in the heart of Nowra & were named winners of the Shoalhaven Business Awards 2023 for Outstanding Start Up.
